Split Elm Equestrian
Split Elm Equestrian, run by the Morrongiello family, was founded in
November of 2000 when the Morrongiellos bought the first property.
Split Elm I (the kid's barn) is a 11 acre facility with a 20 stall barn and
four 2-3 acre fields. One of the fields was converted into a riding
arena and the other three are used for turnout. Split Elm II (the
adult's barn) is a 50 acre property with another 20 stall barn and six
paddocks. The idea for the Split Elm name came from the presence
of a magnificent Elm tree located at Split Elm I. The farm house, also
located at the first property, was built in 1836 and has been restored
for modern use, while maintaining the historic and rustic feel.

Owner's Horses:

Imperial Hank (1981) - "Hank" is the first horse that Stephanie
owned. He is still teaching kids and going on trail rides, but has
retired from hard work. He is registered with AQHA and is from
Skipper W breeding.
Namorato (1984) - "Nami" is an Iberian Warmblood. He and Steph
were very competitive in the show ring and at novice level events for
quite a few years. Now Nami is slowing down and teaching some of
Steph's advanced students about dressage and jumping.
Spanish Eyes (2000) - "Juanita" was born at Split Elm and is
Steph's main competition horse. She
currently competes at novice
level and last year she came in 7th in the nation with the USEA.

Classico Z (2005) - "Stinky" is a grey Holsteiner/Thoroughbred
gelding. He will join Juanita competing in eventing in a few years. He
is now broke and learning the basics.
